DuPont Advanced Printing Reinforces Innovation Leadership at Label Expo 2016
WILMINGTON, Del. (PRWEB) October 06, 2016 -- DuPont Advanced Printing (DuPont) showcased its newest equipment offering, the Cyrel® FAST 2000TD and DuPont™ Cyrel® EASY flexographic printing plate technology, at Label Expo in Rosemont, Il.
Built on nearly two decades of global experience with Cyrel® FAST, the Cyrel® FAST 2000TD is the latest addition to the DuPont portfolio and customers are seeing excellent results.
“Plates coming out of the Cyrel® FAST 2000TD are much cleaner with sharper image edges; we’ve also seen a smoother plate floor with a much greater relief depth uniformity,” said Jaye Carpmail, group plate manager, Coveris. “Our printers reported they’ve noticed a reduction in ink build up on press, providing us with a much cleaner print. In addition to the processing improvements, we’ve noted greater highlight detail and improved solid ink laydown as a result of the Cyrel® EASY plate formulation, all without having to change anything on press. It’s just what we needed.”.
During the show, DuPont demonstrated the features of the Cyrel® FAST 2000TD processor, which include:
• Ability to handle plates up to 42” to 60” format
• An impression cylinder that delivers consistent plate processing, eliminating the need for a drum skin and associated maintenance
• Ability to clamp plates at the lead and trail edge to improve dimensional stability of the plates
• A PET roll that improves plate processing and simplifies maintenance needs
• Remote connectivity that enables seamless preventative maintenance and software updates
The innovations in the processor result in a printing plate that has a cleaner, smoother floor with excellent dimensional stability and superior relief uniformity.

With these Cyrel® EASY plates that are true to their name, press operations benefit as these plates come up to color very quickly and help minimize start-up waste.
