DuPont Recognized by Carbon Disclosure Project for Climate Change Leadership and Named to Dow Jones Sustainability Index
WILMINGTON, Del. (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- DuPont has been named to the Carbon Disclosure Project’s (CDP) S&P 500 Carbon Performance Leadership Index (CPLI) and Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) with a score of 96 for its disclosure of information related to climate change risks and opportunities and an “A” for its emission reduction performance. DuPont was also recently named to the North America Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) and the CDP Global 500 Carbon Performance Leadership Index.

DuPont was singled out for progress driven by its Bold Energy Plan which saw over 600 energy improvement projects and realized $30 million in savings. The CDP also highlighted DuPont’s market-facing sustainability goals that look beyond the company’s operational footprint and focus on the markets they serve. “Our 2015 goals have led to a doubling of R&D investment in programs with a quantifiable environmental benefit and nearly $2 billion in annual revenue from products that help our customers and consumers throughout our value chains improve energy efficiency or reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” Fisher added.
