Dyn Expands Globally And Shatters Revenue Growth Records
Manchester, New Hampshire (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- Dyn, the worldwide leader in Internet performance, announced today it has achieved 22 successive quarters of revenue growth since launching its current Go To Market strategy in 2009. The company also saw 52% revenue growth in their second quarter (the quarter ending June 30, 2014) over the same time period in 2013. Some of the most influential brands in the world are using Dyn’s solutions for Internet performance, and just last quarter the company added over 220 new enterprise customers and 190,000 new self-service customers to its roster.
“We live in a world where every business relies on the Internet but those businesses don’t necessarily have the toolset to manage how they connect with customers or partners online,” said Jeremy Hitchcock, Dyn’s CEO. “Dyn is helping companies understand the inner workings of the global web and make strategic decisions about Internet performance that drive business growth.”
Continued Dominance in Internet Performance
Last quarter, Dyn acquired Renesys, the authority on Internet intelligence. This strategic acquisition allows Dyn to offer leading insights about Internet traffic and performance to customers around the world. With the addition of Renesys’ capabilities, Dyn has expanded its product suite to include a line of Performance Assurance products, which gives companies the Internet intelligence needed to make the most informed and accurate decisions on traffic management, CDN optimization, and Cloud optimization. Dyn has also made a number of key executive appointments to support the strategic focus on Internet performance and Performance Assurance:
- Matt Larson has been named CTO. Larson joined Dyn about a year ago as Chief Architect, and has since led technical innovation for Dyn, setting the technical vision for the company and designing for Internet scale.
- Jim Cowie joins Dyn as Chief Scientist. Cowie previously served as the founder and head of research and development at Renesys.
“Internet performance is the root of all business,” said Matt Larson, CTO, Dyn. “Better Internet performance and reliability allow companies to improve the customer experience, which ultimately increases brand loyalty, drives more revenue, and helps achieve bottom-line goals. Dyn’s vision for Performance Assurance is to provide customers with a combination of deep insights about network connectivity and reliability around the world, and the ability to automatically make changes to their infrastructure based on that information -- a huge differentiator for Dyn.”
Global Growth
Dyn continued its massive global expansion last quarter on both a corporate and solution level. The company announced a new network in China to help multinational corporations connect faster and more reliably with the largest population of online users in the world. Dyn’s China Network is an important asset for companies operating within the Chinese market, allowing them to maintain a strong web presence in the country and drive more sales in one of the fastest-growing eCommerce markets in the world. Additionally, Dyn hired over 90 new employees around the world, expanding its presence in both the APAC and EMEA regions. Dyn hired four new employees to assist with technical support and sales operations in the company’s Sydney, Australia office.
“Any company doing business on the Internet needs to navigate localized markets and regulations around the world,” said Cindy Brown, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Dyn. “Dyn helps companies improve their Internet performance, essentially getting information from one point to another regardless of the market dynamics. Our China Network and expansion of APAC operations allows us to provide customers all over the world with the solutions they need to do business anywhere and everywhere.”
Unparalleled Customer Advocacy
Dyn also launched innovative new products in Q2 to support the company’s commitment to exceptional customer experience. Product announcements include:
- A new Professional Service offering to accelerate implementation of Internet performance solutions and assist with outsourcing to the cloud.
- An Email Delivery Service to help marketers improve email deliverability and drive customer engagement.
Dyn’s customer service is a true differentiator for many new customers, like Shutterstock, a leading technology marketplace.
“During the negotiation process, Dyn sent two engineers out to meet us with a sales executive and allowed my engineers to grill them and gain really deep insight into the underlying design decisions and architectural choices Dyn has made internally,” said Nathan Milford, Lead Architect at Shutterstock. “They had excellent answers for everything and my engineers' curiosities were sated and I was impressed with the frankness and transparency of the entire exercise. Shutterstock is putting its availability and part of its user's experience in their hands and being given a window into how they work and think about problems gave us confidence in them.”
