e-Libro’s Spanish Language Information Literacy Tools Now Available at No Cost
Miami, FL (PRWEB) March 11, 2015 -- Helping students to be more successful in the classroom and beyond is a critical priority for educators and librarians. Today, e-Libro, a central solution for essential Spanish language ebooks, announced the availability of complimentary information literacy lessons in both Spanish and English. Developed by e-Libro’s on-staff librarians with the ACRL’s information literacy guidelines in mind, the materials cover finding, using and evaluating information and citing sources. Anyone may register to receive the complimentary materials at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SpanishILguides.
“We have heard from our customers and the library community that information literacy is a top priority, but many do not have the staff or budget to create their own materials, especially for students whose first language is Spanish and not English,” said Leslie Lees, e-Libro’s Vice President of U.S. Sales & Marketing. “By offering tools in Spanish as well as English, we hope to help librarians expand their information literacy efforts, enabling students and patrons to achieve better outcomes.”
Available as downloadable PDFs, e-Libro’s new information literacy mini lessons are platform agnostic and are intended to be useful to libraries of all types. e-Libro plans to launch additional information literacy tools in Spanish and English, which will be openly available to the library community at no cost.
