Eagle Academy Public Charter School (DC) Partners with InfoSnap to Streamline Student Registration with a Customized Online Solution
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) March 11, 2015 -- Eagle Academy Public Charter School in Washington, DC, will transform student registration from a paper-based process to an efficient online solution. InfoSnap will design, develop, and deploy a solution that will streamline new and annual student registration through seamless integration between InfoSnap and Eagle Academy’s student information system (SIS), PowerSchool.
“Prior to collaborating with InfoSnap, paper was a major pain point at Eagle Academy. It became evident to make the registration process easier for our families and administrative staff,” said Melissa Hammett, School Compliance Officer and Registrar at Eagle Academy.
InfoSnap will take the student data that is given to Eagle Academy from the common lottery process in DC and provide families with a method to enroll students online.
The solution will offer convenience for families in an effort to reduce the time spent on registration. Families who have more than one child within the school can ‘snap’ data from one student to another. The use of SmartForm™ technology, an intuitive tool built into the solution, will collect relevant data based on previously entered information or choices (grade, activities, medical history, etc.).
“Our process for registration required families to come in and sit with a member of our staff to verify residency and then fill out 10-15 forms of paper. It was very time consuming and didn’t allow us to truly be efficient,” notes Hammett.
After families register their students for school, the data submitted by families are reviewed, polished, and formatted to meet Eagle Academy’s policies and then delivered into the school’s student information system.
“To manage and store all of our data in one centralized location is going to provide our school staff with a convenient and accessible method to access the information we need. InfoSnap’s reporting and communication tools will be resourceful as it will allow us to pull specific information and identify records that meet certain criteria.
