EASA Software Announces New Capability for SalesForce.com Integration
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- EASA announced a key enhancement to its revolutionary codeless application authoring platform. EASA is well established as the only tool capable of helping companies to create web applications that use Microsoft EXCEL spreadsheets as “logic engines” on a centralized, secure server. This in turn enables the deployment of enterprise CPQ apps (configuration, pricing, and quoting) without the expense of re-writing all the business logic in existing spreadsheets. With EASA’s latest capability, it is now possible to launch these apps, connected to an underlying CPQ spreadsheet, directly from popular CRM systems including SalesForce.com.
EASA has helped companies such as AIG, GE Wind Energy, P&G, and Zurich Financial accelerate and streamline key business processes including proposal management and quote generation, by enabling them to deploy existing spreadsheet-based tools, engineering software models, and even in-house codes as version-controlled web applications - without the need for custom coding. With the new enhancement enabling easy integration with SalesForce.com, EASA is setting itself apart from other CPQ tools that cannot make use of business logic in existing spreadsheets.
When launching an EASA application from Salesforce.com (or other CRM platform), selected fields from the SF.com Quote, Contract, or Account can be auto-populated into the CPQ tool. Optionally, calculated data such as price, delivery schedule, etc., can be written back to SalesForce.com for reporting and proposal management.
“This is an enhancement that we’ve been working on for some time. Many of our clients rely heavily on Excel spreadsheets for CPQ purposes, as well as SalesForce.com, to track and execute proposal generation activities,” said Sebastian Dewhurst, Director of Business Development for EASA. “The key advantage that EASA provides is the ability to retain all the business logic in existing spreadsheets, including macros. This is far faster and more cost-effective than attempting to extract that logic and insert it into a dedicated CPQ system.”
