Easy Rest Adjustable Bed Company Helps Raise $25,000 for Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic
(PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- Several children facing life-threatening diseases will have their wishes come true this winter thanks to Easy Rest Adjustable Sleep Systems, a leading provider of adjustable beds in the U.S. and Chad Blum Memorial Charities, Inc. On Friday, September 20th, over 140 golfers and diners came to the Links at Challedon Golf Club to support the Charity’s mission to brighten the lives of sick children.
Steven Mowrey, President of Chad Blum Memorial Charities, Inc. presented a check for $25,000 to Mark McElrath, Development Manager for Make-A-Wish Mid Atlantic’s Baltimore office. “We are thrilled to be able to present Make-A-Wish with the biggest check in our 14 year history,” said Mowrey. “This check is only possible because of our generous sponsors and loyal supporters. We couldn’t have done it without them,” he added.
“We appreciate this donation very much,” replied McElrath after accepting the check. “This donation will go a long way towards making wishes come true for several children in our area.“ During his remarks, McElrath shared a variety of stories of recently completed wishes and the work behind the scenes that went into making them happen.

Easy Rest Adjustable Beds has a long-standing relationship with the local Make-A-Wish chapter. Over the past fourteen years, the Mowrey family has organized an annual golf tournament, sponsored by the company, benefiting Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. Their efforts have raised over $215,000 to date. All proceeds are donated directly to Make-A-Wish through the Chad Blum Memorial Charities, Inc. to help grant wishes to local children fighting life threatening medical conditions. In 1996, the Mowrey’s niece was granted the wish of an all-expense paid week in Disney World with her family. When their step-brother was killed in a car accident the following year the family started the tournament in his name.
