Eckhart Announces Autocraft Name Change and Launch of Engineering Services Business Unit
WARREN, Mich., April 2, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Eckhart, an advanced manufacturing solutions provider to the largest industrial companies in the world, today announced branding changes for its Autocraft and Polker Design businesses.
"As the Eckhart family of companies continue to grow, it is critical that we provide brand clarity for all of our customers. Our goal is to ensure customers see and experience one company committed to delivering reliable and dependable solutions that enhance the quality of life for those who support and work on assembly lines all over the world," said Andy Storm, President and CEO of Eckhart.
All site locations, facilities, and functional teams will adopt the Eckhart name to streamline internal and external communication while also clarifying the company's brand presence in the marketplace. "We believe a unified company brand makes it easier for all stakeholders to interact with our team. A common company brand will strengthen how we recruit new employees, communicate with customers, and make it easier for those outside of our company to learn more about Eckhart. We now have a single company website that shares our full suite of solutions with the world in a consistent and coherent manner," continued Storm.
Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are one of the fastest growing product lines within Eckhart's suite of solutions and to honor the history of the Autocraft name, the autonomous guided vehicle product line will adopt the Autocraft™ trademark and carry on the legacy of a brand known for dependability, reliability and uptime.
In addition, Polker Design will become Eckhart's Engineering Services business unit. "Our over-arching goal is to ensure customers see Eckhart as a one-stop-shop for design, build, and simulation services that support their core business. Our customers continue to appreciate<strike>,</strike> that, with Eckhart, our capabilities extend beyond design. As a member of the Eckhart family, we now have the capability to support all of the ancillary needs of our largest customers. The resources and equipment to provide exceptional customer service all exist inside the four walls of our company," said Michael Marz, General Manager of Engineering Services. "No longer is there a need for one of our customers to go to multiple vendors for help. We can deliver all of the solutions they need for major programs and make their life easier in the process."
Eckhart has already initiated the brand transition and expects to complete the company wide effort by June of 2018.
