Eclipse WiFi Corp. Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Improved WiFi Performance Device
MELVILLE, NY (PRWEB) December 08, 2016 -- Eclipse WiFi Corp., a global leader in WiFi solutions, is releasing the Eclipse WiFi In-wall Access Point, their answer to fixing WiFi range problems affecting many of today’s WiFi-enabled devices. The company has launched a Kickstarter campaign, now accepting advanced orders.
“The growth of IoE (Internet of Everything) devices further emphasizes the need for a real-world WiFi solution,” explained Don Davis, President of Eclipse WiFi Corp. "The weak links in a WiFi network are the devices attempting to connect to a wireless router and not the actual router. Typically, the transmit range of those devices is only 25% of that of your wireless router. WiFi is a two-way technology and, like two people playing catch with a baseball, unless you are within equal throwing distance you cannot have a proper catch. All these higher-powered, faster-speed, and greater-distance claims put out by the manufacturers of wireless routers, pushing their products, are misleading.” He continued on to state, “They have done nothing to fix the transmit side of the WiFi-enabled device. So the further you are from the wireless router, the slower your network connection is going to be.”
The Eclipse WiFi in-wall access point approaches the problem from a completely different perspective; to extend the network closer to where users are operating their WiFi-enabled devices.
“If, the majority of the time, you are attempting to connect to your WiFi in a bedroom, kitchen, family room, or even in a hotel room then a wireless access point should be located in those areas. With the introduction of the Eclipse WiFi in-wall wireless access point, WiFi-enabled thermostats, coffee pots, tablets, smartphones, and IoT wearables will have no trouble connecting and remaining connected,” commented Davis.
Speed tests performed before and after installing the Eclipse WiFi in-wall access point showed a 76% increase in speed from the same location and 94% fewer dropped packets. The Eclipse WiFi in-wall access point connects the client devices locally and then sends and receives the data through a wired connection, maintaining high speeds throughout the network. Since many homes and hotels already have CAT5 or CAT6 cabling in place, the Eclipse WiFi in-wall access point is a natural fit.
“As much as we all love WiFi, the quicker you move from a wireless connection to a wired connection the faster your network connection is going to be,” Davis added.
The Eclipse WiFi Kickstarter campaign will be live through the end of December. To find out more about the Eclipse WiFi in-wall access point, please visit us at http://www.eclipsewifi.com/ew28650.aspx.
