ECPI University Launches Master of Science in Nursing Degree Program
Virginia Beach, VA (PRWEB) July 22, 2015 -- ECPI University’s College of Nursing is now offering a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program. Available at the Virginia Beach, Newport News, and Online campuses, prospective students can choose to concentrate on either Health Systems Leadership or Nursing Education.
Graduates will be challenged to utilize technology to solve unique as well as global nursing issues, and learn to coordinate care by communicating across the boundaries of degrees, departments, facilities, and states.
Graduates can be prepared to educate patients, families, groups, students, and each other. Those in a direct-care role can acquire graduate-level knowledge in assessment, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. Expectations for graduates will focus on patient safety, quality healthcare, and impacting the systems that provide care.
Graduates who complete the Health Systems Leadership concentration can pursue an array of career tracks including:
• Program Manager
• Nurse Director or equivalent
• Quality Improvement Director
• Nurse Manager
• Patient Safety Director
Graduates who complete the Nursing Education concentration can be eligible to pursue employment as a:
• Patient Educator
• Director of Professional Practice
• Director of Staff Development
• Clinical Nurse Educator
• Nursing Faculty Member at the practical, associate or bachelor degree levels
