Edge Prototype LLC Joins The Hamilton Mill
Hamilton, OH (PRWEB) January 26, 2015 -- Edge Prototype LLC is the newest client to join The Hamilton Mill. Edge specializes in developing product prototypes or models. The group has a portfolio of concepts that are currently under development with hopes of taking them to market over the next 12-18 months. Edge will be working with The Hamilton Mill and partners to build out a plan for business success that includes marketing, finance, design, and technical services. The first product that the team of four intends to take to market is an ergonomic and versatile exercise barbell. The barbell makes it easier for end-users to perform their free-weight workout regimen using less strenuous, more natural motions, thus increasing safety and workout efficiency. They are actively working with potential business partners throughout multiple channels to test and eventually market their product.
“These guys are game changers – bright, energetic engineers – who know how to develop products and prototypes that solve real customer problems. We are excited to welcome them into The Mill and begin working with them on their plan,” says Executive Director, Chris Lawson. “Their initial product is just a preview of what we can expect from Edge once they get up and running – there is definitely more to come.”
Edge Prototype is an ideal fit for The Hamilton Mill as the revitalized incubator is working with entrepreneurs and makers that are building innovative technologies and products. The Hamilton Mill relaunched in July of 2014 with a renewed focus on advanced manufacturing, clean-technology, and water-based solutions. Since the relaunch, the program has been recognized and awarded for its innovative approach by the Ohio Economic Development Association (Winner, Excellence in Economic Development Innovation) and the International Economic Development Council (Bronze, Excellence in Economic Development Award in the category of Sustainable and Green Development category for communities with a population between 25,000 to 200,000 from the IEDC). The organization was also recognized by the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) for its collaborative approach with the City of Hamilton.
