Edgewood Clinical Services Expands Staff to Include Two New Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (PRWEB) December 04, 2017 -- In keeping with their dedication to providing world-class care to the Naperville community, Edgewood Clinical Services is pleased to announce the addition of two new psychiatrists to their team. Specializing in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry, Drs. Joe McNally and Peter Nichols will join the rapidly-growing behavioral health agency during the first two months of
2018.
The new physicians will be dividing their time between the North Naperville, South Naperville and Lisle office (scheduled to open in the near future). Dr. McNally begins his practice on January 8, with Dr. Nichols accepting patients starting February 12.
These additions to the Edgewood Clinical Services staff represent a momentous advancement in comprehensive mental health care in the Chicago suburbs, allowing access to needed psychiatric services for local families. The Drs. McNally and Nichols complement the existing community-focused, privately-owned mental health agency’s current three Board Certified Psychiatrists and one psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on staff.
Their arrival is in answer to the departure of former Edgewood psychiatrist Dr. Christopher Sinnappan, who leaves Edgewood for a position in California.
“After learning of Sinnappan’s decision to move to California, we were all committed to filling his position with a physician equally skilled to take over the care of his nearly 600 active patients,” said Rebecca Gadomski, Edgewood Chief Operating Officer. “Dr. Sinnappan is an incredible child and adolescent psychiatrist who has provided treatment to Naperville-area families for the last 3 and a half years. His expertise will be missed.”
With the addition of Drs. McNally and Nichols, Edgewood has not only provided for Dr. Sinnappan’s role, but have doubled the doctor talent within the office. These gifted doctors and their Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide full-time psychiatric care at Edgewood, offering over 100 available clinical patient hours per week.

Joseph McNally, M.D., earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Creighton University; attended medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine; completed his general psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor; and did his fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospitals in child and adolescent psychiatry. He has spent the last 25 years building invaluable experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in Medical Administration.
Peter Nichols, M.D., earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California-Berkeley; attended medical school at the University of Southern California; completed his child and adolescent psychiatry residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals; and did his fellowship at the University of Illinois - Chicago Hospitals. He has spent the last 15 years building invaluable experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in Medical Administration.
