On Literate Nation’s amazing portal for resources relating to education in the United States, Vento implemented responsive web design (RWD) which allows for fluid layouts which transform the aesthetic of the site based on the size of the users screen. This results in cross-platform compatibility, ranging from mobile to tablet to desktop.
In addition, they used a methodology known as parallax design which creates a sense of 3D depth in an otherwise two dimensional medium. This is achieved through layer stacking and delayed scrolling which makes certain items appear to move at divergent speeds from that of the users natural scrolling.
