Oakland, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2015 -- A recent report by Mathematica Policy Research, “Changing Education Agencies from the Inside Out: Year 2 Report on the Strategic Data Project and Education Pioneers,” finds that Education Pioneers' data-savvy leaders bring critical analytic capacity to education organizations and help build an important data culture in those organizations.
The report notes that Education Pioneers leaders serve “as a unique and potentially influential force for facilitating agency-wide strategic data use. The fellows’ proximity to high-level agency leaders has afforded opportunities for leadership to see the value of data for informing decisions firsthand.”
Of the 12 organizations assessed in the report, some have filled permanent positions with technically skilled analytic staff, “who might not have considered working in the education sector if … (Education Pioneers) had not brought them in,” Mathematica reports.
Education Pioneers, a national nonprofit that unleashes the potential of leaders and managers to transform education for all students, announced today that it seeks more than 100 data-savvy leaders to work in 20 cities nationwide for its 2015 Analyst Fellowship, a leadership and career development program, to continue to meet critical data needs in education.

The organization’s Analyst Fellowship matches high-achieving data analysts from diverse backgrounds with school districts, state education organizations, charter management organizations, education nonprofits and other education organizations to collect, track, analyze and use important student, teacher and organizational data.
Launched in 2010 in direct response to education organizations’ needs for analytically-savvy leaders, the Education Pioneers Analyst Fellowship has grown dramatically from its inaugural cohort of 11 to a cohort of over 100 analytical leaders in 2014.
Applications for the 10-month, paid 2015 Analyst Fellowship (September 2015 – May 2016) are now open, and candidates may apply via the Education Pioneers website before the priority round deadline on March 3, 2015. Education Pioneers offers numerous online information sessions for interested candidates to learn more about the program.

The final partner application deadline is April 15, 2015 for the Graduate School Fellowship and June 30, 2015 for the Analyst Fellowship.
