Educational Partnership Formed Between Centre for Arts and Technology and the Okanagan Film Commission
(PRWEB) August 05, 2015 -- In a continuing effort to strengthen the Okanagan Film Industry, Centre for Arts and Technology and the Okanagan Film Commission have formed an educational partnership. This partnership will help ensure that people passionate about animation and film have a quality training institution in their community. The first step in this partnership will begin with Okanagan Film Fundamentals (OFF) that will be held October 22 to 25, 2015 at the Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna.
OFF is an opportunity to bring all viewpoints of the film industry together to celebrate, learn and collaborate. The weekend will have 2 elements. The first element being the Motion Picture Industry Orientation Course, which will be held twice throughout the weekend, which teaches all the foundations needed to be able to work safely on a film set. The second aspect of the weekend is a symposium, that will include sessions on script writing, entertainment law, budgeting, and pitching.
More information on the symposium can be found at http://www.okanaganfilmfundamentals.com
