Educational Webinar: Miltenyi Biotec Highlights the Benefits of Isolating Immune Cells Directly From Whole Blood

(PRWEB) June 18, 2018 -- Enrichment of leukocytes from blood products like buffy coat, leukocyte reduction chambers (LRSC), or leukapheresis material can be time consuming and could influence the physiology of the target cells. Conventional protocols require cell isolation by density gradient centrifugation.
The new StraightFrom® Cell Separation Reagents from Miltenyi Biotec have specifically been developed to minimize time-consuming handling steps since no density gradient centrifugation methods or erythrocyte lysis is needed.
The positive enrichment process not only preserves cell integrity but also enables the consecutive enrichment of more than one cell population from a single sample. Gregor has a long-term experience in separation technologies, immunology, and antibody generation. Currently, he is a group leader in the Research & Development department.
