(PRWEB) June 04, 2018 -- Educational and computing technologies reseller, Eduporium, announced the launch of a new monthly grant opportunity for teachers Monday. The program is open to all educators, including classroom teachers, administrators, technology directors, librarians, and makerspace leaders. Replacing the company’s previous grant program, this new version will offer educators the opportunity to apply for a $500 grant every month.
“The fact that teachers rely on grants to help them bring the latest technology into their classrooms is something we are very much aware of,” said Eduporium President and CEO, Rick Fredkin. “As we continue to grow, we wanted to start offering educators a bit more than what we have done in the past.”
Eduporium hosts an online store where teachers can purchase hundreds of different STEM technology tools in one place and they have run grant programs before. Previously, they awarded four $250 grants per year and, with this move, will now be offering 12 $500 grants, giving educators a chance at the award every month.
Those who wish to apply for this month’s grant can do so up until June 20. Going forward, the application process will reset every month – opening on the first of each calendar month and closing on the 20th. The recipient of each grant will be announced and contacted on the final day of each calendar month and those not selected can re-apply during the next application cycle.
Eduporium is home to hundreds of EdTech, STEAM, and Maker Education products, including tools like 3D printers, virtual reality systems, robotics devices, coding kits, and more – all of which are able to be purchased with grant money. They have partnered with some of the biggest names in EdTech, including MakerBot, Oculus, Ozobot, Sphero, Wonder Workshop, and littleBits to help educators learn about and purchase new technologies at a discounted price.
“We’re hoping to reach even more educators and help them see that technology in the classroom doesn’t necessarily have to be a financial burden,” said Fredkin. “Our two main goals are to provide technology and help save teachers money – something this revamped version of our grant program is designed to do.”
All educators interested in applying for the grant can click here to learn more and fill out the application. Interested individuals can also contact Eduporium by phone at 1 (877) 252-0001 or email at grant(at)eduporium(dot)com.
