Edward Jurewicz interprets teachings of Zen Buddhism in new book

NAGOYA, Japan (PRWEB) April 09, 2015 -- Author Edward Jurewicz realizes life can be fast-paced and filled with chaos, stress and a multitude of information presented to the average person almost continuously. When he discovered and began practicing the tenets of Zen Buddhism, he felt refreshed and rejuvenated.

Jurewicz now offers readers his interpretations of Zen Buddhism’s short stories, traditionally referred to in Japanese as “koans,” in his new book, “Zen-Zen Stories” (published by Partridge Singapore).

“The book offers some new insights into the Japanese culture and it promotes certain spiritual values,” Jurewicz says. “Furthermore, it offers a chance to develop one’s mental faculties – introspection, logic, humor and analytical thinking. Jurewicz describes “Zen-Zen Stories” as an archetypal “brain dojo” or “brain gym” that will encourage readers to foster their creative thinking, self-analysis and debate skills. He hopes readers will appreciate the lessons and mental exercises within his book, so that they can reach greater levels of personal enlightenment and happiness.

Edward Jurewicz has a master’s degree in philosophy from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. He has traveled the world and lived for several years in Canada, Poland, Greece, Norway, South Korea, Portugal and Japan.
