Edward Rose & Sons Expands Its Senior Housing Portfolio With New Development in Clinton Township, Mich.
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (PRWEB) October 10, 2014 -- Edward Rose & Sons, a privately held Michigan real estate development and management company, is continuing its expansion into the rapidly growing senior housing market sector with the opening of a new community in Clinton Township, Mich., northeast of Detroit.
Rose Senior Living-Clinton Township, adjacent to the Partridge Creek Mall and near Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, offers 176 units of senior living apartment homes – 74 independent senior living apartments, 64 assisted living apartments and 38 memory care suites. The housing mix allows residents to “age in place” by having access to more benefits and higher levels of service as their needs change.
Rose Senior Living-Clinton Township is 188,000 square feet and is connected to outdoor gardens and walking trails with easy access to the mall and other local amenities. A three-story building houses independent and assisted living, and memory care. The new community has numerous amenities including three dining venues, concierge services, arboretum, media room, club lounge, fitness studio, movie theater, chapel, and salon and spa.
“My grandfather started our company over 90 years ago to bring quality housing options to families,” said Warren Rose, CEO of Edward Rose & Sons. “We continue that tradition by creating homes for seniors – for those who want to live independently but don’t want the maintenance hassles, those who need a little help with day-to-day activities and those who need full-time memory care. All will share the wonderful amenities being built here. Our entire team is dedicated to bringing high quality senior living and services to this beautiful setting.”
“Throughout our history, we have been adaptive to changing market needs,” Rose said. “In 2011 we set a vision that put us on a new course to develop senior housing. Rose Senior Living-Clinton Township is a natural step for us — a premier senior housing development right in our backyard and surrounded by a vibrant community rich with amenities, activity and character.”
Last year, Edward Rose & Sons opened its first senior living community in Memphis, Tenn., called Heritage at Irene Woods, and plans are underway for two additional communities – one in Avon, Ohio, in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic, and one in Novi, Michigan, in partnership with St. John’s Providence. Both properties will break ground in late 2014. Ecumen, a nonprofit company headquartered in Minneapolis/St. Paul, is working with Rose Senior Living in the development and management of these communities.
“Our community provides a luxurious senior living environment, coupled with flexibility and choices offered nowhere else in the Detroit area,” Sheila Pruzinsky, executive director of Rose Senior Living – Clinton Township, said. “From granite countertops in each apartment to multiple dining venues, our residents live comfortably and independently. When their care needs change, we’re able to adapt because we have a continuum of care options under one roof.”
Rose Senior Living-Clinton Township, which will create about 100 full- and part-time jobs, opened August 15 to independent living residents and assisted living and memory care residents has just opened
The public is invited to attend a community open house on October 11, 2014, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and founded 93 years ago, Edward Rose & Sons also owns and operates non-age restricted apartments in Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin, including The Harbors, also located in Clinton Township.
Rose Senior Living-Clinton Township will be managed by Ecumen, which also manages Heritage at Irene Woods. Ecumen, founded more than 150 years ago, is one of the top 20 nonprofit providers of senior housing and aging services in the country and owns or manages 38 communities across the Upper Midwest.
