San Francisco, California (PRWEB) April 21, 2015 -- eFolder, a leading supplier of business continuity and cloud file sync services for the IT channel, today announced a technology partnership with Dell and general availability of eFolder DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service), a service that replicates Dell AppAssure backup images to the eFolder Cloud. eFolder DRaaS gives Dell AppAssure customers additional cloud recovery options in the event of a server failure or site-wide disaster, helping them minimize the risk and cost of downtime.

• Compliant data centers and military-grade security, exceeding industry standards
Today, thousands of companies around on the world depend on Dell AppAssure and eFolder DRaaS as a comprehensive disaster recovery solution. The release of eFolder DRaaS further establishes eFolder as a leading cloud replication and disaster recovery provider for Dell business continuity products.
eFolder first announced a technology partnership with Dell in 2012 to offer eFolder BDR for AppAssure, a disaster recovery service for Dell AppAssure backup images that is sold by eFolder exclusively to IT service providers. eFolder BDR for AppAssure continues to be available to Dell and eFolder partners that utilize a managed services business model.
eFolder and Dell executives both lauded the solution as one that delivers significant benefit to customers.
“Dell and eFolder have partnered on a joint mission for more than three years: enhance business continuity and strengthen peace-of-mind for business owners,” says Pierre Tapia, vice president of product at eFolder. “We are proud to announce eFolder DRaaS, a product which lets Dell AppAssure customers leverage the reliability and performance of the eFolder Cloud, and minimize the risk and cost of downtime through a turn-key, cost-effective solution.”
“Dell AppAssure helps thousands of businesses protect their critical data, whether it is stored on virtual machines, physical servers, or in the cloud,” says Paul Davis, director of data protection product management, Dell Software. “Thousands of AppAssure customers already choose to replicate their AppAssure data to the eFolder cloud, and we are delighted that this joint solution is expanding to make turn-key cloud DR even more accessible for AppAssure customers.”
eFolder DRaaS is available now and is available direct from Dell or through Dell partners.
