EGC Enterprises Appoints New Leader as Manager of the Manufacturing Engineering Department
Chardon, OH (PRWEB) October 11, 2014 -- EGC, a recognized world leader in the engineering and manufacturing of graphite and graphite composites for high temperature applications in fluid sealing or thermal systems management, has appointed Ryan Milo as Manager of Manufacturing Engineering Department. Milo is responsible for the oversight and completion of plans necessary to produce the final product that’s made at EGC. “I’m involved in taking the design information at the beginning of the process and creating a seamless transition by the time it hits the production floor,” says Milo.
Milo worked for Swagelok, a global manufacturer of fittings, valves and regulators in over 70 countries, for eight years prior to his time at EGC, so he has knowledge of some of the high temperature characteristics that flexible graphite exhibits. “I knew how the seals we’re installed but never had the opportunity to see how they we’re engineered. Now that I do, I can see that EGC is providing value to its customers because making things better on our end is only going to make it better from an end-users perspective.”
Milo believes the EGC “process” must be documented. “The profitability of the company is, in a big way, a measure of determining the ‘parts’ necessary to make the product and then cataloging all that you do, each time you do it. If there is no documentation, there’s no way to measure your success or, for that matter, improve the process.”

Milo is a 2005 graduate of Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He has been married for twelve years, has two children and lives in Mentor, Ohio.
