EHE Auctions Starts Marketing Initiative for Pipeline Companies Due to Natural Gas Demand
League City, TX (PRWEB) December 22, 2013 -- According to a recent study, natural gas production in the U.S. has surpassed even the most optimistic forecasts so much that the U.S. is projected to become an exporter of natural gas by 2016, which is why representatives at EHE Auctions are rolling out a marketing initiative to become the solution for pipeline companies.
“We’re very excited about this,” said Milissa Wise, Director of Operations for Expert Heavy Equipment, the parent company of EHE Auctions.
EHE Auctions provides a service for individuals and companies that want to dispose of their used heavy construction or farm equipment. Unlike most auction companies that charge listing fees, plus 3 to 18 percent of the sales price, with EHE Auction, there are no consignment fees.
Wise explained that the reason the company has started the pipeline marketing initiative is due to the fact that the shale revolution is transforming the natural gas industry in the United States.
“Just six years ago, natural gas was viewed as an unreliable and scarce energy source, causing the U.S. to be dependent on natural gas imports,” Wise Pointed out, before adding, “Today natural gas production in the U.S. has surpassed even the most optimistic forecasts.”
Regional environmental incentives, in addition to greater supply and lower prices, according to industry statistics, have contributed to the increased use of natural gas for power generation.
Both of the Northeast's regional transmission organizations, the Independent System Operator of New England (ISO-NE) and the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), according to Wise, have seen a dramatic shift since 2001 away from petroleum- and coal-fired generation to predominantly natural gas-fired output in 2012 and 2013.
“Colder winter temperatures in 2013 and 2014 compared with the record-warm temperatures in 2012 are expected to increase the amount of natural gas used for residential and commercial space heating,” Wise stressed. “More demand means more pipeline work which means more equipment, so EHE Auctions wants to become a solution for these pipelines companies so they can concentrate on their core business.”
