EIVA a/s and Geometrics Inc. Team Up to Launch ROTV Solution Dedicated to Magnetometer Surveys
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- Offshore survey solution specialist, EIVA a/s, just added a new model to its popular range of Remotely Operated Towed Vehicle (ROTV) product solutions with the launch of the new ScanFish Katria.
ScanFish Katria is specially designed to detect sub-bottom magnetic anomalies. The new system combines more than 30 years of experience in the offshore survey industry with high-end equipment and a design process developed by listening to our customers’ needs.
The intelligent platform allows for time-efficient magnetometer surveys, as it covers larger survey areas in one sweep using a horizontal setup of four magnetometers. While operating in terrain-following mode, the magnetometers are positioned as close to the seabed as the topography allows--thus, providing higher quality results and more precise data.
Since magnetometer quality and performance are key to successful surveys, EIVA joined up with Geometrics and included their widely used G-882 Marine Magnetometer, a high-end, low-cost solution as well as the most used in the industry.
The ScanFish Katria may be set up quickly and easily and towed by any type of vessel without the risk of survey data being affected by its magnetic signature. Its standard package (which may be combined with optional extras) provides a turn-key solution to all your survey needs.
