EJL Wireless Research Adds the Ericsson W-CDMA/LTE AIR21 17/2100MHz Semi-Active Antenna Unit to its DesigN Analysis Infrastructure (DNA-I) Series of Teardown Reports
Salem, NH (PRWEB) November 29, 2013 -- EJL Wireless Research is announcing a new report within its proprietary DNA-I series, an Ericsson W-CDMA/LTE 17/2100MHz B4 60W (2x30W) AIR21 unit.
“This is our first opportunity to look into the amazing design of the AIR portfolio at Ericsson. The AIR product represents the integration of remote radio unit and dual band antenna to create the next generation 4x2 MIMO semi-active antenna system for mobile operators. The AIR21 contains two complete radio transceivers, two power amplifiers, two duplexer filters, and two dual band antenna arrays. The AIR21 is part of the RBS6601 Main/Remote BTS system and supports W-CDMA and LTE technologies for Band 4 operation as well as a Band 2 passive antenna that mobile operators can connect with existing external remote radio units or radio modules,” said founder and President, Earl Lum.
“The W-CDMA/LTE Band 4 unit supports the AWS-1 blocks of spectrum within the 2100MHz frequency band in North America. Band 4 spectrum supports mobile operators including AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless in the US as well as Rogers, TELUS, Bell Mobility, Wind Mobile, Videotron and Mobilicity in Canada. We continue to be excited in having the opportunity to showcase the latest generation semi-active antennas, remote radio units, RF transceiver modules, BTS antennas, femtocells, and base stations from major wireless equipment OEMs as part of our DNA-I program,” says Lum.
EJL Wireless Research continues to lead the wireless market research segment with innovative and cutting edge research such as its DNA-I series of products.
The following semiconductor & passive component suppliers are included in this report: Analog Devices, Fairchild Semiconductor, Freescale Semiconductor, Infineon Technologies, Micron Technology, NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, and Vishay Semiconductors.
