(PRWEB) June 22, 2016 -- B2B channel marketing platform Elastic Grid and tech association CompTIA to host ‘Stand Up to Stand Out’, commencing June 29, 2016.
A four-week online self-branding coaching series, ‘Stand Up to Stand Out’ has been developed to help women get noticed in the IT sector.
Elastic Grid VP of Business Strategy and Development Kathryn Rose will lead the series. It will also feature talks from high-profile branding and social media experts who have successfully used social platforms to expand their influence, build a community and mark a strong presence in the sector.
Industry speakers include Robyn Hatcher, CEO of SpeakEtc and Forbes personal branding specialist, and Melonie Dodaro, author of the #1 International Bestseller, The LinkedIn Code.
Elastic Grid CEO Cameron Avery said, “Our company prides itself in being an employer that promotes diversity and gender equality. We believe this web series will equip women with the skills to succeed online and help them gain a competitive advantage in the IT space.”
CompTIA’s Director of Member Communities Cathy Alper said that working with Kathryn Rose from Elastic Grid is a great opportunity for its community group Advancing Women in IT (AWIT).
“Part of the AWIT mission is to support women who are in or aspire to be in IT. Collaboration with other organizations expands our reach and gets the message out to more people.
“I know that Kathryn’s messages about using social media to ‘Stand Up and Stand Out’ will help women be more successful in their IT careers.”
Kathryn Rose is the author of nine books on social media and relationship marketing, including two best-sellers, Return on Relationship and Solving the Social Media Puzzle.
Rose knows firsthand the impact and benefits of becoming known and influential online. “Eight years ago I was a top salesperson for a Wall Street firm, then the mortgage market melted down and my division closed. I went into online marketing and used social media to reinvent myself.
“Today, I’m an influencer and want to extend that knowledge and the opportunity to shine to all the women I’ve met in the channel marketing space.”
