Eldon James Hires General Manager to Address Rapid Growth
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 16, 2014 -- Eldon James Corporation, a leading manufacturer of PVC FREE tubing and connectors, announced today the promotion of Chene Cramer to the position of general manager. With the rapid growth that the company has experienced over the past five years, the move allows for more focus on efficiencies within the operations side of the business.
Cramer began with Eldon James in 2013, leading the engineering department and quickly created new efficiencies there. With an extensive background as a tool maker, molding manager and production manager, his experience in plastic injection molding proved to be a valuable asset as the company continues to experience accelerated growth. “Eldon James experienced 20% sales growth in 2013 over the previous year and is already pacing 40% growth for 2014,” stated Marcia Coulson, president of Eldon James. “Chene has an excellent understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and practices. We felt that his experience and leadership could help operations keep pace with this considerable increase in sales.”
One of Cramer’s first acts as general manager was to secure a $25,000 grant for training and eduction through the Colorado Association of Manufacturing Technology (CAMT). “This grant is intended to help educate our entire organization on Lean manufacturing practices,” said Cramer. “This will help us identify unnecessary waste, maximize productivity, and focus the right resources on projects. Overall it will make our company scalable as we continue to take on new business while growing what we already have.”
