Electric TV Releases Video on Electrical Training for Industrial Contruction
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 26, 2013 -- In the fourth and final documentary of 2013 on electrical training programs, Electric TV visits the North Alabama JATC to find out firsthand what sets this training facility apart; it's producing some of the most highly trained and qualified electrical workers for industrial construction in the country.
When it comes to developing the schools and programs to train the next generation of electrical workers to meet the market, the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC), a jointly-funded venture by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electric Contractors Association (NECA), develops specialized training based on geographical need across it's network of 284 individual training centers from coast-to-coast.
Electric TV’s video series has gone behind-the-scenes to look at how these programs and this - the fourth and final installment - showcases the North Alabama JATC Training Center.
The future electrical workers and their teachers highlighted in this episode are being trained in the value of superior skills and doing the best job right the first time – so installations and systems perform reliably and safely from the get-go.
"The industrial customer really requires that you have a lot more certifications other than 'I've been trained by the IBEW in a five-year apprenticeship program," says Ron Weaver, Training Director for the North Alabama JATC. Adrian Yarborough, president of Shoals Electric, adds that the current [electrical] training program is "...the best it's ever been...there's nobody that can compete with us."
