Elements Behavioral Health Launches Three Strands(SM) Christian Program for Men at COPAC(SM) Addiction Treatment Center
Brandon, MS (PRWEB) July 22, 2015 -- Adding to its current program offerings, COPAC(SM) addiction treatment center in Mississippi launches a Three Strands(SM) Christian rehab program for men ages 18 and older who are seeking to enrich their recovery with spiritual support, guidance and inspiration. The COPAC facility has been providing comprehensive, gender-separate residential treatment, intensive outpatient care and extended care since 1979.
“We’ve found that integrating faith in the recovery process can be transformative for Christians struggling to overcome addiction and co-occurring mental health problems,” says Chuck Robinson, national director of Christian programming and outreach for Elements Behavioral Health, a family of addiction treatment centers that includes the COPAC drug rehabilitation program. “Our professional team meets each individual where they are, spiritually, emotionally and physically.”
The Three Strands program at COPAC draws from evidenced-based treatment strategies as well as scripture to provide therapy that is balanced, both clinically and spiritually. It is non-denominational and incorporates 12-step principles and practical spiritual teachings.
Treatment includes:
• Individual, group and family therapy
• Support groups facilitated by master’s level clinicians
• Biblical strategies for everyday life
• Addiction education
• Relapse prevention planning
• Onsite and offsite chapel services
• Celebrate Recovery® materials and 12-step literature
COPAC treatment center offers a wide array of traditional therapies in individual and group settings, as well as experiential approaches such as equine-assisted therapy and adventure therapy. The campus includes a beautiful, newly built chapel for clients seeking restorative solitude, contemplation of faith and quiet prayer.
The Three Strands program at COPAC is part of a broader national initiative developed by Elements Behavioral Health to help meet the needs of Christians in recovery. The original Three Strands program launched at The Recovery Place in Florida and has been serving Christians and spiritual seekers since June 2014.
“This program is named ‘Three Strands’ because it evokes the Christian trinity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,” says Robinson. “But it also represents the power of communion, that by joining together in prayer and recovery we strengthen ourselves and others around us.”
