Elena Gilbert (Actress Nina Dobrev) Wears HeidiLee Design’s "Blackened Silver and Gold Marquise Pendant Necklace" in Episode 5:2 of "The Vampire Diaries"
Big Rapids, Michigan (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- Heidi Kinnally, designer/owner, HeidiLee Design (http://www.heidileedesign.com), has had her "Blackened Silver and Gold Marquise Pendant Necklace" worn by character Elena Gilbert (actress Nina Dobrev) on Episode 5:2 of CW TV's "The Vampire Diaries.” The episode, “True Lies,” aired October 10, 2013.
The show’s wardrobe designer, Leigh Leverett, selected Kinnally’s pendant necklace for use on “The Vampire Dairies” after discovering the piece in a Stylist Gift Bag she received earlier this year from The Artisan Group®, of which Kinnally is a member.
“In designing the necklace, I wasn’t necessarily creating for a specific character so much as going for a timeless yet current look in keeping with the mood of the show,” said Kinnally. “The pendant is casual but elegant. I blackened the sterling silver chain and hand-forged pendant to create a bit of mystery, and added a touch of luxe with 14k gold wire wrap accents.”

This is the second time Kinnally’s jewelry has made an appearance on “The Vampire Diaries.” Her “Silver Blade Earrings” were worn by character Rebekah in Episode 4:17, “Because of the Night.”
Kinnally discloses that although she watches “The Vampire Diaries” on a regular basis with her 16 year old daughter, she was a fan of the books well before they were developed into the television series.
“It’s been pretty mind-blowing to have the chance to see my jewelry worn on TV, first by one of the “Originals” and then by novels' protaganist.”
Kinnally is taking custom orders for the “Blackened Silver and Gold Marquise Pendant Necklace” via her website. Interested parties may also contact the designer by email.
In other HeidiLee Design news, although specifics are not yet available, Kinnally’s “Bronze Arrowhead Necklace” has been chosen by the costume designer Mandy Pauline for use in the movie thriller “Hidden in the Woods,” which premieres in 2014.
“As a member of The Artisan Group®, I’m fortunate to have the chance to put my work in front of celebrities and stylists from time to time,” said Kinnally. “Designing for these opportunities is challenging and fun, and it’s incredibly satisfying when the pieces are actually selected for use or worn in public.”
Kinnally’s jewelry has been gifted at GBK’s Gift Lounge for the 2013 Academy Awards and actress Amy Poehler has been photographed out and about wearing the designer’s “Color Drenched Bangles” on several occasions. A unisex “Mixed Metal Cuff” was also selected for use on Season 6 of HBO’s “True Blood.”
