Elena Verlee’s Blog Site Listed 7th out of Top 60 PR Blogs in the World
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) July 28, 2013 -- Elena Verlee’s blog site "PR in Your Pajamas," which teaches media relations strategies, how to write a media pitch and top social media tools for small businesses, was listed in the 60 Best PR Blogs in the World, according to research done by InkyBee, a UK-based company with software specializing in blogger outreach programs.
"I started blogging several years ago to help entrepreneurs who couldn’t afford to hire a PR consultant, let alone a PR agency," says Verlee. "I wanted to equip small business owners with practical publicity strategies and give them the confidence that they can do it themselves."
TOP 10 RANKING BASED ON SMART ALGORITHM
PR in Your Pajamas came in seventh based on a methodology where a “linguistic fingerprint” of the words and phrases that are highly relevant to PR were harnessed by the Inkybee software. This was done by collating "tags" from the relevant blog posts across millions hosted in the Inkybee database.
The Inkybee software then did a sophisticated search across their database of over 600,000 blogs, applied an algorithm to determine which were the most relevant based on how often the words and phrases were used and where they used them.
An overall ranking based on other important factors such as size of audience (visibility), level of engagement and how often the blog posted produced the Top 60 PR Blogs in the World.
CONSISTENT RECOGNITION FROM PEERS AND THE PR INDUSTRY
Verlee’s blog was also recognized in PR Web’s "25 Essential PR Bloggers You Should Be Reading" and two years in a row in Cision’s "Top 50 PR and Marketing Blogs" (2012 and 2013).
