Elisa Contemporary Art Selected As 1 of 7 galleries and the Only Bronx Gallery to Showcase Selected Artists from Third Annual Curate NYC. Opens October 29th
Riverdale, NY (PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- Elisa Contemporary Art has been selected as one of seven galleries and the Bronx Gallery to showcase 25 artists chosen by owner/curator Lisa Cooper from the Third Annual Curate NYC competition. Curate NYC, a month-long citywide festival of art exhibitions, and a permanent online showcase of New York City artists, is developed and produced by Brian Tate & Danny Simmons in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
The 25 artists were selected from over 1,900 entries within the New York City area. The exhibit will open on October 29th and run through November 23, 2013. There will be an opening reception on Tuesday, October 29th from 6-8pm and a closing reception on Saturday, November 16th from 4-7pm
The 25 selected artists include: 7 from the Bronx, 8 each from Manhattan and Brooklyn, and 2 from Queens. The featured artwork includes all mediums from painting, mixed media, works on paper, photography and sculpture. The artwork captures moments, places, nature and cultures - both real and imagined - from around the world including West Africa, Greenland, Paris and the Bronx!

Elisa Contemporary Art represents a portfolio of both emerging and established contemporary artists, many of whom have work in the permanent collections of major museums and corporations.
