Elliott Homes Thanks Partners and Community for St. Jude Dream Home® Success
GULFPORT, Miss. (PRWEB) May 01, 2019 -- Elliott Homes, alongside valued partners, volunteers and the Mississippi Gulf Coast community, has completed the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway for 2019. The home produced incredible results and has become the most successful Dream Home in the Mississippi Gulf Coast, generating over $760K at zero cost to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Every year, the Elliott Homes team chooses a charitable cause to work with. For 2019, the team unanimously decided on St. Jude due to their impact on children’s lives and their fight against childhood cancer. The home building experts were eager to join the St. Jude mission and reached out to trade partners, individuals and local businesses for their support. Their response was nothing short of incredible, as over 47 companies, 30+ volunteers and variety of organizations came forth to help build the home.
All the resources, material and time that went into the creation of the house were donated by Elliott’s team or one of their partners and sponsors. Elliott Homes was proud to work alongside professionals including Brizo®, Shaw Floors®, Bosch Appliances®, 84 Lumber®, Delta Industries®, Expert Insulation®, Geiger Heating and Air®, OS Lumber®, SunCoast Contractors Supply®, Compton Son & Appliance®, Ferguson Enterprises®, Murphy Electric®, Pounds Plumbing, Inc.® and Tractor Tree & Turf®. In addition, dozens of other organizations and businesses from the Mississippi Gulf Coast area came forward to donate or contribute in a variety of ways.
The home experts at Elliott Homes designed the Dream Home based on the Frazier design, the first in their new Creole Collection, which integrates Lowcountry and Southern architecture. It is over 2,700 square feet and features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a second-story balcony. It is located in Elliott Homes’ Landon Green community, located in Gulfport and estimated at a $360,000 value.
“We didn’t just agree to do something nice and get by without failing. You put 100% effort – your weekends, your time, your money and the result was the most successful Dream Home in the state,” Brandon Elliot says in a wrap-up thank you video.
“The Dream Home was such a success, but only because of what you all were able to help us accomplish together,” Adrienne Elliott said while addressing the team’s partners and volunteers.
Raffle tickets to win the house were sold to the public, all proceeds going to St. Jude. This year, all 7,500 tickets reserved for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Dream Home sold out much faster than anticipated. Over 3,900 visitors toured the Dream Home during the days prior to the ticket drawing. The total proceeds were $766,910 which was $750,000 generated by tickets and $16,910 in cash raised by the team.
On Sunday, April 7, the Elliott Homes team and representatives of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital drew the lucky winner of the Dream Home Giveaway, broadcasted live from the WLOX news station. Francis Boykin of Gulfport is the winner and new owner of the Dream Home. Adrienne and Brandon Elliott then met Boykin, accompanied by her family, to take her on a tour of her brand-new home.
Finally, Elliott Homes created a microsite, The Road to the Dream Home, where visitors can learn about the home and all the work that went into its completion. Users of the site explore a variety of content including behind-the-scenes webisodes chronicling the team’s journey. A free, downloadable design guide entitled “Get the Look” provides in-depth information about the interior design of the Dream Home, from the names and models of appliances and fixtures to the list of paint colors used throughout the house.
