Embedded Logix Launches New Product Smart-LX™ Studio
Shelby, Michigan (PRWEB) July 12, 2013 -- After more than 30 years of developing custom test and measurement systems for the automotive and manufacturing industries, Embedded Logix is evolving from vendor to supplier. A technological design and development firm, Embedded Logix is excited to announce the premiere of their new test and measurement thermal imaging appliance for the Smart-LX ™ Studio.
Embedded Logix is no stranger to the automotive industry, having decades of experience developing testing equipment to ensure proper installation and operation of airbags, seating systems, and antilock brake valves. And while they have developed circuit boards, controllers, and process monitors for industries outside of automotive, the Smart-LX ™ Studio will play a crucial role to further their expansion into other industries, such as monitoring assets for temperature run away to prevent fires, process monitoring of parts during hot stamping, forging, casting and safety inspection for the pre-cooked foods industry.
“We have reinvented our test and measurement product to utilize infrared technology to create a temperature monitoring and control system that has opened up a huge new market of opportunity for us,” explained Deborah McLeod, President of Embedded Logix.
Infrared cameras are an excellent solution for many industries. Until recently, however, infrared cameras were often a prohibitively expensive addition to a process monitoring solution and didn’t necessarily solve the problem on their own. Through continual research and the evolution of infrared cameras as a sensor technology, Embedded Logix has developed a complete inspection system that provides a turn-key solution at the right price point, rendering the Smart-LX ™ Studio affordable and adaptable to an unlimited number of industries.
The Smart-LX ™ Studio is able to monitor one or multiple locations and generate alarms based on a user definable temperature condition. Infrared cameras are capable of monitoring for temperature distribution, material consistency, patterns, the presence of invisible coatings, and are playing an integral role in protecting critical assets and people from industrial fires.
This is an exciting time for Embedded Logix. FLIR, an industry leader in infrared sensors, has recognized them as an invaluable resource to the industry and is working closely with them to create an infrared automation solution to aid in the adoption of infrared as an invaluable process monitor. Embedded Logix has become a distributor of FLIR automation products and can execute on turn-key solutions from sensor selection and system design to commissioning and annual calibration services.
Not only is Embedded Logix launching their thermal imaging appliance for Smart-LX ™ Studio, but they were also named one of Michigan’s Top 50 Companies to Watch, an acknowledgment that the company is having an impact in their market, community, and state. They will be updating their website soon to further introduce Smart-LX ™ Studio and reflect the transition in their company story from vendor to supplier.
“While our competition is designing to meet the customer requirements, we design to be a category killer,” said McLeod.
