Emerald Bay Golf Course In Destin Transforms Into A World-Class Golfing Facility
Destin, FL (PRWEB) August 09, 2014 -- The Emerald Bay Golf Club, one of the premiere courses in northwest Florida, is NOW OPEN after recently completing a major renovation by famed golf course architect Bob Cupp. His career in golf course design has spanned more than forty years. He served as senior designer for Jack Nicklaus for more than 15 years before starting his own firm in 1984. Since that time, his courses have hosted over 50 national and international tournaments, including seven major championships. In 1992, Golf World named Mr. Cupp the first ever Golf Architect of the Year. Golf Digest and Golf Magazine have selected his work as the best in the nation four times and runner up 6 times. Mr. Cupp has numerous courses on various Top 100 course lists. “The challenge was to maintain Emerald Bay's charisma.
