Empow Studios Launches STEM-Enriched After-School Program
Lexington, MA: (PRWEB) July 18, 2014 -- Empow Studios announced today the launch of its After-School Club for students in grades two to eight in Lexington, MA. The Club will operate five days a week, from 3pm-6:30pm, with extended hours on Thursdays, beginning September 2014. The After-School Club offers a structured, project-based learning curriculum focused on design, programming, engineering, robotics, and other technical areas. The Club also offers time for physical activities and homework support (with optional one-on-one tutoring), and access to Empow’s large library of resources.

Taking kids beyond a traditional arts-and-crafts after-school curriculum, Empow After-School Club offers to its members its entire arsenal of 50+ software tools, an enviable collection of LEGO Education components (including a wall of LEGO), laptops, tablets, and music and video production equipment. The Club offers small-group instruction and opportunities to participate individually or in teams in competitions focused on robotics, film, video game programming, and others. A significant perk of the Club membership is being able to join any formal class that is taught at the Lexington Studio for free.
