EMS Technology Used in Hurricane Sandy to be Used at This Weekend’s Big Game
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- The New Jersey EMS Task Force is relying on advanced technology to support emergency response during the national championship game between the Denver Broncos vs. the Seattle Seahawks Sunday at the MetLife Stadium.
The New Jersey EMS Task Force, a volunteer group of more than 150 emergency medical services agencies from the New Jersey area, will be responsible for providing EMS support for any incident surrounding the big game, from the MetLife Stadium to other official events taking place across the state.
In order to improve coordination and vehicle tracking of EMS responders and to allow for the closest available vehicles to be directed to the scene, the New Jersey EMS Task Force will employ Intermedix Corporation’s Fleeteyes technology throughout the game.
Fleeteyes is the asset tracking system the New Jersey EMS Task Force used during Hurricane Sandy that allowed the task force to get ambulance and fire units deployed efficiently, reducing response time.
“This will be the system that generates all the tracking of resources, call volumes and incident types,” said Bucky Buchanan with the New Jersey EMS Task Force. “In a nutshell, any emergency call or asset movement either inside the stadium or in one of the other locations in New Jersey it will all be tracked using Fleeteyes.”
During the big game, operational locations will use Fleeteyes in combination with the Intermedix dispatch solution to take calls and assign resources. The task force will monitor all calls and deploy resources from the State Emergency Operating Center, the Stadium Public Safety Compound, the Stadium Command Center and the State Health Command Center.
