Enbala Welcomes Cheryl Martin, Former Head of ARPA-E, to Board of Directors
Vancouver, B.C. (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- Enbala Power Networks today announced that Dr. Chery Martin, principal of Harwich Partners consultancy and an internationally recognized expert in energy-related technology, was appointed to the Enbala board of directors. Dr. Martin is the former Acting Director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) and recently led a critical aspect of New York State's comprehensive Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) associated with demonstration projects. Her appointment to the Enbala board expands the board’s size to seven members.

Prior to joining ARPA-E, Dr. Martin was an executive in residence with Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California. Dr. Martin also spent 20 years with Rohm and Haas Company, starting her career as a senior scientist for the company’s plastics additive business and then holding various leadership roles, including director of investor relations, director of financial planning and general manager of two separate divisions.
Dr. Martin earned a B.A. degree in chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is active in the American Chemical Society (ACS) at both the local and national levels and serves on the board of directors for Philabundance, the greater Philadelphia region’s largest hunger relief organization.
