Enduring Tradition Highlights 2017 iaedp™ Symposium
Pekin, IL (PRWEB) January 09, 2017 -- When the 2017 iaedp Symposium officially opens on March 23 at the Green Valley Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, it will begin as it has for the past 30 years with the traditional Presentation of the Colors by the local Civil Air Patrol Cadets, the Henderson Composite Squadron and the 802nd Cadet Squadron, followed by the iaedp Chapter State Flags and International Flags, honoring the professionals who come together each year to advance learning, share groundbreaking information and engage with the world’s most renowned and committed eating disorders professionals.
“The iaedp International and iaedp Chapter State Flags celebrate and honor our national and international chapters,” said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director of the iaedp Foundation. “This year professionals will attend from not only the U.S., but also (other countries represented).”
In fact, this year’s Symposium features four sessions presented in Spanish only, addressing the latest in eating disorder treatment, causes and science – much like the other nearly 60 sessions that are in English. The 31st annual iaedp Symposium will take place over four days, March 23-26, and will feature presentations, workshops and various special events. Registration information can be found at iaedp.com.
Pre-symposium activity kicks-off on Wednesday, March 22, with the return of the popular pre-certification courses.
The Symposium’s opening day on Thursday, March 23 features the conclusion of the pre-certification courses and the grand opening reception – prior to start-up of the presentations that continue through Sunday, March 26.
