Energy Source of Providence Rhode Island Sweeps NationalGrid Energy Savings Award
Providence, RI (PRWEB) March 11, 2014 -- Energy Source LLC of Providence, Rhode Island, has been named the 2013 winner of NationalGrid’s Top Kilowatt Savings Performer Award. The Energy Conservation firm outperformed its nearest competitor by a margin of 3 to 1 in energy conservation, saving a total of nearly 17 million Kilowatt Hours for its clients served by NationalGrid this past year alone.
Energy Source President, Michael Lemoi, was on hand to hear the announcement at NationalGrid’s recent Project Expediter meeting on February 12, 2014. “We feel tremendously honored by this award,” Lemoi said. “We work relentlessly to reduce energy costs for our clients, it is very satisfying to see just what kind of an impact we are making, and to have the hard work of our team recognized within our industry and among our peers,” Lemoi said.
The competition for this award was stiff, as all of the other companies in the running were also members of a select group of firms designated “National Grid Project Expediters”. This group is comprised of leaders in the field of energy conservation.
Energy Source Vice President, Ron Sliney, points out that the award demonstrates that efficiency is about more than just lighting and fixtures. It’s also key to the way Energy Source runs its operations day to day. “Many of the companies we are competing against in the marketplace are considerably larger than Energy Source. The fact that we have saved 3 times more energy than our nearest competitor with a staff one-fourth the size is something I am particularly proud of. We believe both product efficiency and operational efficiency are the keys to delivering the best ROI for the companies we work with,” Sliney said.
That list of companies includes some of the best known brands in the world, including CVS CareMark, EMC, Bank of America, CB Richard Ellis and Citizens Bank. And it continues to grow as Energy Source continues its aggressive national expansion and marketshare growth.
In fact, Energy Source also took the honors for generating the most applications for new projects to NationalGrid in 2013.
National Sales Manager, Gabriel Andreson, is enthusiastic and appreciative that Energy Source took the top position in both categories this year, but he is more focused on the future. “Bringing in 169 applications is nothing to sneeze at and I am certainly proud of our sales team, but here’s a little secret, when we can sit down with any business owner and show them the economics, these projects sell themselves. With that in mind, I predict our new initiatives next year will blow 2013 out of the water,” Andreson said.
