While SIEM users of NFI may focus on NFI’s analyzed results of NetFlow, users can have NFI archive the detailed NetFlow data instead of submitting massive NetFlow streams to the SIEM and retrieve from the archive records of interest as needed. NFI allows customers to expand their capacity dynamically to meet whatever volume of NetFlow needs to be analyzed by increasing the number of cores running NFI – unlike the static capacity of special purpose hardware-based solutions.
Palo Alto Networks Support
NFI now receives NetFlow from Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Firewalls. NetFlow-based views and real-time analysis of NetFlow can be added to the Palo Alto Networks App for Splunk. This makes real-time analyzed NetFlow information from Palo Alto Networks firewalls immediately available for correlation with other machine data. NFI supports NetFlow from network equipment from Cisco, Juniper and other leading vendors. NetFlow Logic’s support for multivendor hardware is designed to give customers a common familiar way to work in multivendor hardware environments.
nPulse Technologies Support
NFI now receives NetFlow from nPulse CPX Flow and Packet Capture appliances. For the first time users with massive networks can analyze flow data in real time, and based on analytical results, immediately perform deep packet inspection to identify cyber threats and network performance issues.
