Enrich Your Summer with California Casualty’s $2,500 Academic Award
San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) June 12, 2017 -- A lucky educator will be starting the new school year with a $2,500 Academic Award from California Casualty. The deadline to enter for the next drawing is July 7, 2017, at http://www.calcasacademicaward.com.
The $2,500 Academic Award was created in 2012 to give public K-12 teachers, who often spend $500 to $1,000 of their own funds each year, a financial break buying necessities for students and projects. This will be the 14th Academic Award given since the program began.
The funds can be used for any educational purpose for their school.
The most recent recipient was Washington 4th grade teacher Janet S., who considers books an enduring gift. She was excited to purchase new social studies textbooks for her classes.
Illinois special education teacher Sharon H. set up an interactive listening center with the award she received in January.
Another recent winner, Eduardo N., was able to purchase important chemistry equipment for his California high school science classes.
“Working with educators for over 65 years, we’ve heard over and over how much they spend preparing their classrooms and helping students,” said California Casualty Sr. Vice President Mike McCormick. “This award is one of the many ways we show support and give thanks for what they do.”
California Casualty is ready to pick up the cost for classroom supplies and materials. The deadline for teachers, administrators and classified employees hoping to win the next $2,500 Academic Award for their school is Friday, July 7, with a winner announced in August.
