Enrique “Hank” Alonso Joins HNTB as Construction Management Program Manager
Los Angeles (PRWEB) December 09, 2016 -- Enrique “Hank” Alonso, PE, joined HNTB Corporation’s Southern California team as construction management program manager and vice president. At HNTB, he will be the lead construction manager for the I-405 Improvement Project and support the firm’s work on major regional infrastructure projects. He will be based in the firm’s Orange County office.
Alonso brings over 33 years of technical expertise in construction management, including highways, oversight of design/build toll roads and direct management of the I-5 corridor reconstruction. His public sector experience encompasses managing environmental, planning, design and construction activities for over $1 billion in infrastructure projects in California for clients, including Orange County Transportation Authority and Transportation Corridor Agencies, as well as serving as deputy district director for planning, design and construction in District 12 for Caltrans.

Prior to joining HNTB, Alonso served another transportation consulting firm as vice president for construction management in Southern California. His experience includes environmental planning work on the Riverside County Transportation Agency’s Mid County Parkway project; project management for OCTA’s SR 57 Widening Project; and project management director for the I-215 Widening Project for the San Bernardino Associated Governments, among others.
Alonso is a licensed professional engineer and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson. He is active professionally in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Construction Management Association of America and serves as an affiliate member of the University of California, Irvine.
