Enterprises Can't Afford To Overlook New Demand For Higher-Powered Switches
Chino, CA (PRWEB) November 18, 2014 -- Planetech USA has recently added four new Gigabit Ethernet solutions that support applications that demand higher power and help network administrators deploy a flexible network connection in enterprise and extreme industrial environments.
Planetech USA GS-4210-24P(L)4C is a new generation of managed Gigabit PoE+ Switches with Advanced L2/L4 switching and security. The GS-4210-24P4C and GS-4210-24PL4C have a total power budget of up to 220 watts and 440 watts, respectively. The units provide 24 10/100/1000BASE-T ports featuring 802.3at PoE+ ports with a power capability of 30 watts each and 4 additional Gigabit TP/SFP combo ports. The units also provide a built-in L2/L4 Gigabit switching engine along with IPv6/IPv4 dual stack management.
To alleviate the complexity caused by IPv4 address exhaustion, IPv6 will utilize a 128-bit address that will give connections their own unique IP address, greatly improving peer to peer connections and giving devices the ability to auto-configure themselves as opposed to relying on DHCP protocols.
Planetech USA has also released a new Gigabit Ethernet Extender, the IPOE-E174 1-Port 60W Ultra POE to 4-Port 802.3af/at Gigabit POE Extender, capable of operating in industrial environments and temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 C. The unit is especially designed for point to multipoint PoE applications. The IPOE-E174 can obtain a maximum of 50-watts distributed among 4 PoE ports from its 60-watt ultra PoE input port. Gigabit Ethernet Data transmission over a standard CAT 5/5e/6 UTP cable can be extended an additional 100 meters for a total of up to 200 meters.
Planetech USA now offers the WGS-804HP, an 8-Port 10/100/1000T Wall Mounted Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 4 PoE+ ports. Planet’s WGS-804HP features an innovative, wall-mounted industrial 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 4 802.3af/802.3at Power over Ethernet ports. It comes enclosed in a metal IP30 encasement. The device features a total PoE budget of 120 watts distributed among 4 PoE ports, ultra networking speed, and operates in temperatures ranging from -10 to 60 degrees C. The wall-mounted industrial switch is ideal for network administrators that do not need to install the switch utilizing a din rail.
