Entrepreneur Brothers Eclipse Crowdfunding Goal with the Wallet Buckle
Walnut Creek, Calif. (PRWEB) May 05, 2016 -- Consumers have helped brothers Trevor and Justin Johnston surpass their crowdfunding goal of $20,000 raising more than $24,500 on Kickstarter and counting for the Wallet Buckle, the innovative solution to the problem of bulky and lost wallets.
“After spending seven years developing the Wallet Buckle, its satisfying to see both men and women buying and supporting the launch of our new product,” said co-founder Trevor Johnston. “We believe we’ve come up with a practical solution to a common problem by replacing bulky wallets with uniquely designed belt buckles that can hold IDs, bank cards and other personal items conveniently and safely, and there are a lot of consumers who agree.”
The Johnston brothers initially created the Wallet Buckle to solve a problem for themselves: to avoid carrying bulky wallets or unintentionally leaving them at home or, at worse, leaving them behind at a store, restaurant, bar or other location.
“With the Wallet Buckle, people can store their debit and credit cards, cash, driver’s licenses and passports and do it with style,” Johnston said. “Women can select styles to go with their wardrobes, while men can do the same and avoid sitting on a bulky wallet all day. They’re also perfect for attending concerts and other outdoor activities where a purse or a wallet really isn’t practical, and they’re certainly more stylish than a fanny-pack.”
Johnston also says that for people worried about being pick-pocketed, especially while on vacation, the Wallet Buckle's secret compartment keeps credit cards, cash and other valuable items secure and out of sight.
Every Wallet Buckle is hand-made by Trevor Johnston, who finds the production materials and creates each buckle design. There are more than thirty designs available now.
With their crowdfunding success, Johnston says they will be able to create custom designs for consumers – and then pursue licensing agreements to emboss the emblems of sports teams and create other sizes and shapes for future Wallet Buckles.
The brothers launched their new product on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter on April 5, offering early-bird pricing for people who pre-ordered the Wallet Buckle. So far, consumers have invested over $24,500 in the start-up company.
A wide variety of Wallet Buckles are available for pre-order at a 50-percent discounts on Kickstarter. Visit: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/walletbuckle/wallet-buckle-the-best-way-to-secure-your-cards-an
About Wallet Buckle
Many people have great ideas, few can say they've turned theirs into a booming business. Trevor and Justin Johnston created Wallet Buckle to solve a problem for themselves, and quickly realized it's an issue for many. Carrying around a bulky wallet that's uncomfortable to sit on, often taken out, and left behind is a common occurrence. With Wallet Buckle it's all in the name. A wallet inside a buckle, the perfect place to store debit and credit cards, cash, driver’s licenses and a passport while doing so in style. Their belt buckles come in hundreds of different designs to show off individual styles, while secretly carrying around items that can't be left at home.
Instead of business cards, the brothers hand out T-shirts to Wallet Buckle users, asking others to “ask me about my buckle.” They hope their Kickstarter campaign will have many others asking the same question, and soon having a Wallet Buckle of their own.
