Entrepreneur Innovation Expo 2016 Will Be July 28th At The Starlite Best Western In Fort Dodge, Iowa
Fort Dodge, Iowa (PRWEB) July 05, 2016 -- Entrepreneur Innovation Expo 2016 will be at the Starlite Best Western in Fort Dodge, Iowa on July 28th. This will be the fifth year of the Expo with a few changes to better reflect the growing entrepreneur climate in the region.
The previous four Expos focused on providing resources and networking for individuals seeking information on starting a business. The breakout sessions on various topics and vendors providing services from financial, legal, marketing and general new business development were on hand to visit one on one with the attendees.
Today the entrepreneur climate has changed with businesses that have been established and are seeking assistance in growing through marketing and networking.
“We are excited to present a new modified format to our Entrepreneur Innovation Expo 2016 to focus more on established businesses,” states Cliff Weldon, Executive Director of MIDAS. “The addition of the Iowa Entrepreneurship – University of Iowa John Papajohn Entrepreneurial Center and Iowa Innovation Showcase bring a great resource and opportunity to our regional businesses.”
Iowa Entrepreneurship – The University of Iowa John Papajohn Entrepreneurial Center will be facilitating a workshop during the afternoon that will provide examples of innovative business ideas, product development, marketing strategies and business hits and misses.
Later in the afternoon, the Iowa Innovation Showcase will provide a taste of the innovation ecosystem, and help nurture good ideas into bankable ventures. Representatives from a number of organizations will be prepared to make presentations.
A “Shark Tank” presentation in which selected businesses will be afforded the opportunity to present in a shark tank style to the Venture Capital Association will also be part of the program. While there will be no actual funding available, this format provides valuable exposure to participants with feedback and support to assist in their growth.
Pre-registration is required for the workshop and Shark Tank presentations at Entrepreneur-Innovations-Expo-2016. Registration is requested by July 15th for Shark Tank presentations and July 20th for the workshop or when seating is filled.
