Epcon Home Wins “Best of Ohio” Award
Dublin, OH (PRWEB) December 08, 2016 -- Every year, the Ohio Home Builders Association recognizes excellence in homebuilding achievements across the state. This year, Epcon Communities was recognized in the “Best of Ohio” awards for “Best Interior/Product Design, 2,501-3,500 square feet”, for its Promenade model.
The award ceremony took place on November 15, at the OHBA’s fall board meeting in Columbus, OH, at the Hilton Easton.
Entries were evaluated for the use of interior space, color, texture, furnishings, window and wall treatments, and accessories. The judges also looked at the functionality of the plan and site solution.
“The Promenade is one of our most popular home designs, and we’re pleased that the judges appreciated the details that go into this home,” says Ed Bacome, who co-founded the company in 1986 with Phil Fankhauser. “Our homeowners love the spaciousness, flexibility, and the attention to detail in our homes.”
The Promenade design is the largest of the single-family homes in the Epcon Communities portfolio. The Promenade features an open floor plan that wraps around a spacious private courtyard. The gourmet kitchen includes an island, pantry, and energy-efficient appliances. The room integrates with the living and dining rooms, for flow, accessibility, and convenience.
The Promenade’s owner’s suite is designed to create a relaxing retreat, including a sitting area and luxurious spa-like bathroom.
Throughout the home, Epcon’s design incorporates large windows that allow plenty of natural light, as well as views of the courtyard.
Although the Epcon Communities homes began as single-level living, Bacome and Fankhauser recognized the growing desire for additional space. Most plans, including the Promenade, now offer an optional second-floor bonus suite. In some areas, a basement is an option as well.
Since their beginning three decades ago, Epcon Communities has built more than 28,000 homes in 28 states. Each home provides maintenance-free living, with all exterior services included.
“Comfort and convenience is built into every Epcon home,” says Fankhauser. “The space is designed for easy living, and we included the maintenance so our homeowners can really enjoy the luxury of living there.”
