ePHOTOzine picks up major national industry award
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 20 November 2013 -- ePHOTOzine has picked up a prestigious national industry trade award.
The leading photography website, which now boasts 1.6 million unique browsers a month, won Consumer Imaging Website of the Year 2013 honours after beating off competition from two other shortlisted sites, DP Review and Tech Radar, at the annual event Pixel Trade Awards event in London.
Tracey Jennings, ePHOTOzine managing director said: “This is the first time the Pixel Trade Awards have run a consumer imaging website category and we are absolutely delighted to have won this important industry accolade. We are most grateful to all those people who voted for us - and we recognise how fortunate we are to work with such an outstanding client base and imaging community.
She added: “As our industry hopefully moves back into a period of sustained economic growth after the myriad stresses and commercial challenges of recent recessive years, we continue to strive to ensure our site constantly improves and evolves alongside our ever-increasing traffic numbers. EPZ launched in 2001 and six years ago we were the first online photography magazine to agree independent auditing of our numbers - at that time we had 411,000 monthly unique visitors. That number is now 1.6 million and rising.”
A spokesman from Pixel said: “The Pixel Trade Awards are the only photographic and imaging trade awards of their kind, providing a unique opportunity for companies to earn the praise of their competitors and to recognise the high achievements in our industry.”
To celebrate the award-win ePHOTOzine is launching ‘celebratory special offers’ for a limited period. Contact advertising(at)ephotozine(dot)com for more details.
