Epping School District Partners with PowerSchool to Simplify Student Registration with a Customized Online Solution
Folsom, California (PRWEB) August 17, 2016 -- PowerSchool was selected by New Hampshire’s Epping School District to centralize student data collection by eliminating a paper-based process for student enrollment and registration. PowerSchool Registration will streamline district processes and save school staff time and money, improving efficiency throughout the district.
“Launching PowerSchool Registration will allow our parents to spend time with their children when they come home from the first day of school. Previously, families had to use that time to fill out an eight- to ten-page paper packet. We’re excited about offering them the opportunity to enroll and register students for school at their own convenience,” said Epping School District Superintendent of Schools, Valerie McKenney.
The electronic format allows families who have more than one child in the district to ‘snap’ data from one student to another. SmartForm™ technology, an intuitive tool built into the solution, collects relevant data based on previously entered information or choices (grade, activities, medical history, etc.). The data submitted by families is reviewed, polished, and formatted to meet district policies and then delivered into the PowerSchool student information system, resulting in up-to-date records on the first day of school.
“PowerSchool Registration will provide a huge service to our families and students by eradicating the amount of paperwork they were inundated with and the time it took to get that vital information into our student information system,” noted McKenney. “We’re definitely looking forward to going green.”
Online student enrollment and registration for the Epping School District will launch on August 19th. Parents will receive snap codes for students and are encouraged to visit the district’s website to register students for the 2016/17 school year.
