Vientiane, Lao PDR (PRWEB) June 04, 2015 -- The agreement will provide the opportunity for youth in Vientiane, Lao PDR to to attend university as part of a work-study program.
Since 2001, DDD’s program has increased lifetime earnings for youth in Cambodia, Laos and Kenya by a projected total of more than US$300 million. DDD’s social model is unique in that employees have the opportunity to complete higher education while they gain work experience.
Jeremy Hockenstein, DDD’s CEO commented, “We are very excited to provide desktop publishing services that power EQHO Globalization’s business. Our organizations both share a deep commitment to the people of the ASEAN region—and we see that reflected in our relationship.”
DDD's unique 'Impact Sourcing model' serves clients with high-quality BPO services, while transforming the lives of its employees. The company currently works with hundreds of international and local clients from operations centers in Asia, Africa and North America. DDD has received significant recognition, including being identified as a Rising Star among the Global Outsourcing 100 by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), The Rockefeller Foundation also validated DDD's pioneering efforts as part of their Digital Jobs Africa initiative.
Over the past 5 years, EQHO has rapidly ascended through the localization ranks and is listed by the Common Sense Advisory (CSA) as one of Asia’s fastest growing language service providers. Specializing in complex Asian language pairs, but providing solutions for all major tongues, EQHO provides linguistic solutions for global companies in a variety of sectors, ranging from hi-tech to life sciences. EQHO’s Laos production center, which opened in 2012 provides the perfect foundation for the partnership.
The partnership with DDD was originally conceived by EQHO’s Vice Chairman, Ross Klinger while in Laos attending a local event, where he met DDD’s Jeremy Hockenstein. Ross was also responsible for setting up the EQHO subsidiary in 2012, having seen a clear gap in the market for providing professional translation services to multinationals entering the country.
EQHO’s VP of Operations, Cillia Bettus, who will lead the program commented, “Desktop Publishing and related tasks are an increasingly essential part of the translation process and so like all of our services, we're keen to improve our capabilities and increase our capacity. The partnership with DDD will enable us to do exactly that, while at the same time supporting a great cause!”
EQHO also supports several other non-profit organizations including Translators without Borders, The Media Alliance and runs complimentary localization programs at several of Bangkok’s universities.
