Erie Mover Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary

In 1963, second generation owner, James Gordon Bennett immediately saw the benefit of representing a much larger van line. The company now had an active progressive van lines to support its’ local Erie mover reputation. The United Van Lines model, agent owned and directed, put the fate of the company in the owner’s hands while being aided by Board decisions that strengthened agencies first.
This union has been mutually successful through the years, most recently for J.H. Bennett Moving & Storage as they were awarded the 2012 Customer Choice in their division and 2012 President's Choice Award, above all United Agents across the country. Unigroup President, and United Van Lines CEO Rich McClure came to Erie, PA to personally award these achievements to the J.H. Bennett staff, former President, J. Gordon Naughton and long time General Manager and new owner, Kent Mitchell. "J.H.
